Bacon's Large Scale Plan of Greater Manchester & Salford, mid 1920s

Bacon's Large Scale Plan of Greater Manchester & Salford, mid 1920s

Ref: LAN1920MAP

(Supplied on a CD) The original paper copy of this map was printed at a scale of just over 3.5 inches to the mile (which means that some smaller streets are not shown). It bears no date so has been dated from its content. Manchester City's ground is shown as Maine Road (to which they moved in 1923) but the Cenotaph (unveiled 1924) is not shown. Highfield Reservoir is shown (filled in to become Langworthy Park during the 1920s).
The area covered is from Heaton Park in the north to Levenshulme in the south and Swinton Park in the west to Hollingwood Station in the east.

The map is scanned onto the CD, at 200 DPI resolution, as 6 overlapping tiles. In addition, there is a 10 page Street Index.
