Kelly’s Directory of Suffolk, 1922

(Supplied on a CD) When we obtained the directory, the county map had suffered a major tear and significant creasing. The map is also slightly too large to scan in a single piece on an A3 scanner (whilst the majority of the county can be scanned in one, some detail at the edges of the map are cut off). In addition to scanning as much as possible of the map as a whole, therefore, it has also been scanned as overlapping tiles which have subsequently been stitched together (though a little imprefectly because of the creasing). The map contains an inset street map of Ipswich which has also been scanned at higher resolution. All four scans plus the stitched version of the map have been included on both CDs. In addition to the maps the Directory contains Indexes, Suffolk Information, Towns & Villages Directory, Private Residents Directory, Trades & Professional Directory and Advertisements.
Some of the scanned pages appear not to be straight. This is a feature of the original book rather than the scanning process.
