Ward's Directory of Newcastle & Wallsend 1912

Ward's Directory of Newcastle & Wallsend 1912

Ref: NBL1912WA

(Supplied on a CD) This CD contains the Almanac pages, Wallsend Directory, Directory of Villages Near Newcastle, Gosforth & Coxlodge Directory, Newcastle Trades Directory, Newcastle Institutions Directory and Advertisements, Newcastle Street Index, Street Directory and Alphabetical Directory.

The map of Newcastle and the indexes to the various sections and to the advertisements are included the CDs. The original map of Newcastle was in pieces when we obtained it and had previously been repaired with sellotape which has left marks upon it. A small area covering Fenham has been lost over the years but otherwise the map is complete. Some of the printing on the scanned pages appears not to be straight and/or is close to the page edge. This is a feature of the printing/binding of the original book rather than the scanning process.

The Newcastle section includes: Bell's Close, Benton, Benwell, Coxlodge, Fenham, Forest Hall, Gosforth, Lemington, Newburn, Scotswood, Walker and Walker Gate.

The Wallsend section includes: Willington-on-Tyne, Willington Quay, Howdon &c.

Customer Reviews

10/10    My latest purchase from My History was for two trade directories on CD, There is not a lot you can say about them as they are exactly what it says on the boxes - exact copies of local trade directories (with names entered street by street and also an alphabetical index). I can now do my look ups at home instead of in the library.  (22/09/2016) Mrs M Hall -
